CC1312R: Measure Bit Error Rate

Part Number: CC1312R

Hi,

My customers have questions about Bit Error Rate of CC1312R.

<SDK path>/docs/proprietary-rf/proprietary-rf-users-guide/rf-core/signal-routing.html
SimpleLink™ CC13x2 / CC26x2 SDK Proprietary RF User's Guide
:Routing RF Core Signals to Physical Pins
Read Before Using MCE_GPO1

They believe that Bit Error Rate can be measured by using this function.
Is it possible to measure it with the CC1312R? If this is not possible, is there another way to measure Bit Error Rate?

Regards,
Rei

  • Yes but no. The signal on a pin will be equivalent to transparent mode. In this mode the received signal has not been through post processing in the same way as when using the radio receiving packets hence the performance will not be the same.

Use a PER test based on the examples in the SDK to measure performance.
