My customer is using the WL1837MOD for their production and they received PCN(No.20210427007) which is

describing about Wi-Fi certified.

This time, they would like to know about the WL1837MOD Wi-Fi certified.

Their inquiry as follows;

The WL1837MOD data sheet SWRS170I is describing;

P30 6.4 Device Certification

In SWRS170J, the above description has been deleted.

We would like to have to deleted reason.

My customer has already Wi-Fi certified themselves and are mass producing their products.

So, they would like to know to deleted reason for above description.

Hello,

That particular portion refers to the WiFi Alliance, which is a software certification. At this time we can not provide that as a pre-certification since the Linux driver would need to be certified, however the process for certification is still available.
