Hi, Support Team,

Our product use CC3220SF SoC and use TI-RTOS.

My question:

1.May I use Enable/Disable global interrupt method in TI-RTOS code?

2.For example, we erase/write external 512Mbit NOR serial Flash by SPI interface. If I want to guarantee no other code effect SPI read/write, how can I do?

3.If some applications for critical timing of hardware signal control and disable all other software/hardware interrupt source, which example code can reference?

See HWI documentation (http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_sb/targetcontent/sysbios/6_21_01_16/exports/docs/docs/cdoc/ti/sysbios/hal/Hwi.html) on how to disable/enable interrupts in TIRTOS.

You can use a critical section protection (e.g. using pthread_mutex, assuming you are using tirtos through POSIX) when accessing the SPI flash.

I'm not sure any example is disabling the interrupts directly. When using RTOS it will typically be done through OS synchronization API (e.g. mutex, semaphore etc). If you check the POSIX code. If you check the POSIX implementation you'll be able to find use of the Hwi_disable(), e.g. in ti_sysbios_posix_clock_getticks()),

POSIX code exist TI-RTOS? I don't know what is POSIX?

Can you teach me how to check my code using POSIX?

Are you using TIRTOS through an example from the CC32xx SDK?

All the examples in the SDK are using the RTOS through POSIX interface,

The POSIX interface can be implemented over different RTOS. In our SDK we provide the adaptations for both TIRTOS and FreeRTOS (so the application code for both RTOS is almost similar, beside change in the main()).

It means that the applications doesn't use the TIRTOS API, but they call the generic POSIX API which will be used the TIRTOS or FreeRTOS accrording to the project configuration.

The API i mentioned above are POSIX ones and not specific to TIRTOS. If you are using TIRTOS directly (i.e. not based on the SDK examples), you should use the RIRTOS equivalents (e.g. Semaphore).

Dear Kobi,

Ex colleague said that his code base on network_terminal(path C:\ti\simplelink_cc32xx_sdk_4_30_00_06\examples\rtos\CC3220SF_LAUNCHXL\demos\network_terminal) and use TIRTOS not freeRTOS.

if it is based on the network_terminal example, then it uses TIRTOS through POSIX interface.
