CC3220SF: One time calibration mode.

Part Number: CC3220SF
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Hi,

I would like to activate the one-time calibration mode for power saving.

So I have enabled NO-PS pull and one-time calibration mode via uniflash.

Then the power consumption like this:

1.tif

There are still have some peaks I think these are RF calibrations.

So, how to let the one-time calibration mode on and have calibrate it once? I though my result may just only have one peak instead of multiple peaks.

And any API to enable one-time calibration mode??

Thanks.

  • Hi,

You set the one-time calibration correctly.

these peaks are not calibration peaks (which are higher usually) and seem like TX peaks.

what are you running? what application?

  • Hi,

    Thanks for reply.

The application is MQTT-based application. Once Wi-Fi AP connected, we will have these peaks.

    Peak calibration current:

    The Tx power is

In my testing result the peak is around 400mA...

If these peaks are Tx activities, any possible way to confirm it?

  • Hi,

The peaks can sometimes be misleading.

Most likely it is not calibration because even if you set it to normal mode, it wouldn't calibrate this often as you showed in the picture (only when you manually change the TX power for example).

You can verify it with an air sniffer if you have one.
