WL1807MOD: WiFi usage in Israel

Part Number: WL1807MOD

We have run into an odd restriction of WiFi frequency bands while doing out of country certification for Israel.  What we are being told is that the frequency bands of 5250 – 5350MHz and 5470 – 5725MHz are restricted and can’t be used.  This looks like it would affect channels 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60, 62, 64, 66, 68, 96, 100, 102, 104, 106, 108, 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, 122, 124, 126, 128, 132, 134, 136, 138, 140, 142 and 144.

My question is can we restrict the channels that are used in our WL1807MOD via our software, so that we can use all of the other 5GHz channels except the restricted ones?

If we can not restrict the channel usage, how has this been dealt with by TI and it’s customers in the past?
