Bluetooth CLI and BT modes supported.

The WL Connectivity wiki does a good job of covering the WLAN CLI but I didn't see the equivalent for Bluetooth.

I'm trying to locate the CLI documentation for the BT modes of the TIWI...can you send me a link ?

Also, Can you comment on whether the TIWI could function as a BT media adapter?

Can it (is the driver set up to) transmit/receive A2DP to a media player like MPLAYER?

I'd like to demonstrate audio streaming over BT from a smart phone for example.

  • I was able to connect my iPhone 4.0 to the Pandaboard and stream audio over A2DP but it took some work.

The Pandaboard is loaded with Ubuntu-netbook 10.10.

I installed "d-feet" and "Pulse-Audio" using Ubuntu Software Center.

d-feet seemed to allow me to set up the method for connecting audio pipes (but I'm not 100% sure about this.)

Pulse-Audio actually defined the pipe connections from source (my BT mac address) and sink (hdmi/alsa combined output)

Detailed steps are found in the last post here:

HOWEVER, there is a strange Audio quality artifact.

The audio plays back at the wrong speed and with pops and clicks UNTIL, the iPhone goes into standby.

Once the iPhone display goes dark, the audio "fixes itself" and is acceptable.

I'm trying to understand what might cause this...it must be an interaction with the Pandaboard because

my iPhone does NOT do this when it streams to my car.
