We're going for certification of a Linux /AM335 based device with WL1835. The test house requires methods to select a range of specific test modes including exclusive use of modes b, g or n.

Have set up a sample device with WiLink 8 utilties such as "calibrator" and "wlconf". Referring to document swru562 explains options for "calibrator", however no reference is made to the modes b, g or n. Can you please advise on how these specific modes can be selected?

OK I see - thank you. So will the "b" rate options 0-3 also ensure use of DSSS, "g" options 4-11 use mixed DSSS and OFDM, and "n" options 12-27 use OFDM only?

I need to be sure as our test house has been very particular about having control over these modes, to the extent that testing won't proceed without it.

I don't believe calibrator tool has an option to specify modulation type specifically. You may consult table 8.7 @ https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/wl1835mod.pdf

Thank you that looks very helpful - per table 8.7, can I make the assumption that if I set a bit rate of eg. 1MBps it will by implication use DSSS? And if set to 54Mbps will use OFDM?
