I am using the (SP-9XSL-D, Tentative P/N : LBWA19XSLZ-TEMP), does anyone have any insight into putting this part into various test modes, such as Continuous Wave transmission?

what release are you using? is it WiLink6 M6 release?
in case it is then you may control the Murata module test modes by using the command line under PLT section. Please find information in the link.
