Hello,

Can we use the module's answer to a ping to test the connection level on a network? Does the ping answer have a high priority in the module?

Do these results seem normal to you?

Hi Maxime,

Usage of ping is not good metric to reliably determine WiFi network signal strength. Better way it to use RSSI.

That ping looks normal when module is at the normal power policy. If you want to improve ping latency, you can switch into always on power policy.

Hi Maxime,

Yes, it improve latency but significantly increase power consumption due to disabling WiFi power save modes.

It seems to me that every 20 seconds there is a degradation of the ping. For testing we have the SCAN that runs at this interval. Does the scan have an impact on the latency of the ping? of the global latency?

Hi Maxime,

Yes, I think that latency is related to your scan interval. You can try to change wlan scan interval and check changes.
