Hi Support.

I am using sp_3.14.0.0_2.0.0.0_2.2.0.7.bin in my present application. I want sp_3.22.0.1_2.7.0.0_2.2.0.7.bin version of Servicepack to be running on my device. My question is how to upgrade the servicepack without flashing again.

I have gone through the release notes of Servicepack and it states that "The ServicePack can also be flushed using host driver API’s or OTA application".

Can I get more information on what Host Driver APIs are used to upgrade the Servicepack without reflasing.

Hi,

It is about writing ServicePack file /sys/servicepack.ucf via your application code using sl_ filesystem API. Example how to write this file (including sugnatures) you find SDK OTA example.

Hi Sai,

For example OOB project (\examples\rtos\CC3220SF_LAUNCHXL\demos\out_of_box\). OTA library source code you will find at directory \source\ti\net\ota\source\. Important file is here OtaArchive.c and state machine with sl_Fs APIs inside function OtaArchive_process(). Description of sl_ filesystem APIs you will find at SWRU455. This thread from Ben can be useful as well.

In the latest SDK (6.10), the MQTT Client demonstrates the OTA update. It should be enabled according to the instructions in the example's README file.
