WL1837MOD: Can I Do the coded phy external to this TI device?

Good day.

The WL1837MOD or any dual-mode Bluetooth device does not support coded PHY. Can I Do the coded PHY external to this TI device?

Hi,

You cannot use external PHY on WiLink8 - which I believe includes coded PHY.

Hi SN,

Do you confirm that the WL1837MOD has coded PHY? I have read some E2E posts confirming it is not.

Hi,

To clarify , I meant you are not able to use external PHY on WiLink8 . It doesn't support coded PHY.

Hi,

Yes, you can use AM335x EVM with WiLink8 EVAL COM8 card or you can also use BeagleBone Black with wireless WL18xxMOD cape.
