Hi,

I understand that the FM radio portion can be seperately controlled over I2C on the WL1271 (even if it is not frequently done this way). I'm in the process of setting the address bits on the rest of my I2C hardware and would like to leave the option open to controlling the WL1271 FM radio over I2C in the future. What is the I2C address of the WL1271 (specifically on the LSR TiWi01-R2 module)?

Hi,

The I2C address for the FM IP is 0x22.

Thank you for the quick response. Can I get a confirmation that 0x22 is the 7-bit I2C address (i.e. '010 0010') and the actual read address would be 0x45 (8-bit) and writes would be to 0x44 (8-bit)? Or is the 0x22 an 8-bit address for writing and reading is at 0x23?

Scott,

The address is unsigned 7 bits.

Since write command is denoted by '0' in the LSB and read as '1' in the LSB then it would be converted to 0x45 and 0x44.
