WL1271 Rx can not work

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: WL1271

It is omap3630+wl1271+TQM679002. The BT and FM works well, but the wifi can not find any AP. We can find the Tx signal by spectrum analyzer under TI CLI console. We also test the switch of TQM679002 works well under Tx and Rx mode of wifi.

Then we enter TI CLI console by following command and attached the log:

# tiwlan_cu
ERROR - IpcWpa_Sockets_Open - can't connect the socket

The wl1271 can not find any AP. Then we do calibaration and still return error code "-36"

Would you give us some advice? thank you very much!

  • Hi,

Which 1271 module are you using? Is it Murata or LSR?

For Murata module: Please verify in the ini file that STRFRefClock = 0: in case of using 19.2MHz clock; STRFRefClock =  1 in case the clock is  26MHz and STRFRefClock =   2 in case the clock is 38.4MHz

For LSR Module: Please verify in the ini file that STRFRefClock = 2

    Regards,

    Eyal

  • 5850.tiwlan.rarWe didn't use the moudle, just 3630+1271+tqm679002

We checked tiwlan.ini and found STRFRefClock = 4, because we used 38.4M crystal. The ini file is attached.

Because the Wifi Tx frequency and BT is OK, so I think the crystal works well. Do you think so?

  • Dear Eyal,

We also did the Rx Statistics according to Ti Wlan_cu command.

    / t r h 0 1
    / t r s r

    / t r s s

    / t r s g

Then we got the following log:
    Received Valid Packet no.: 23(0x17)
Received FCS Error Packet no.: 36(0x24)
    Received Address mismatched packet: 23(0x17)
    Sequance Nomber Missing Count: 0(0x0)
    Average SNR: 0(0x0)
    Average RSSI: -69(0xffffffbb)
    Base Packet ID: 82(0x52)
    Number of Packets: 0(0x0)
    Number of Missed Packets: 0(0x0)

But it still can not find any AP. Would you give us some advice? thank you!
  • By the way, does any difference between the WL1271A and WL1271B? Because our chip is WL1271B, and we found our reference phone is WL1271A.

  • Hi

I will verify on the 1271A vs 1271B but i dont think there is an issue

for calibration can you try the following:

    / w p 1 l 2 f 2
    / t r h 0 7
    / t b b 375 128 0
    / t b t 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
Then reset the Board after NVS FILE generation is completed.

    Regards,

    Eyal
