Hello,

I’m actually working on the BOOSTXL-CC3135, i want to know is there any way to test the SPI functionality of the CC3135 ?

For example, by sending data from/to a non-TI external host MCU before doing the porting of the SimpleLink Host driver ? Or without even using another host MCU, by doing an SPI loopback ?

No. Only the operational port can be used to test the SPI (i didn't understand the SPI loopback use-case. Without an external host - what exactly will trigger the test and collect the results?)

For the loopback, i mean to wire the MOSI and MISO pins of the SP, i thought the MCU could be used to run an application without an external MCU.

So there is no way to verify the SPI functionality?

What did you mean by "Only the operational port can be used" ?

You are talking about CC3135 - so there is no MCU in the device. CC3135 contains only the network processor (+802.11 MAC).

"Operational port" - I mean that you should try to port the host driver and enable the device in its operational mode. Debug the SPI signals (together with other signals) during the bringup.
