WL1837MOD: WL1837MOD: Regarding updated peak gain values for antenna W3006

Part Number: WL1837MOD
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: WL1837, , WL1835

Hi,

I'm asking this as a related question to the post titled "WL1837MOD: Dual band antenna specification for WL1835/WL1837"

The WL1837 module certifications reference chip antenna W3006, however the latest specification has different gain values than listed in the certifications. I am pasting original poster 's question- the thread was marked as resolved though no answer was given.

--------------------------------

As per the mentioned list of approved antenna in the datasheet of WL1837, antenna gain with pulse W3006 is below:

Frequency band (GHz) Peak gain (dBi)
TI-WL1837 (Dual band) WL1835 (Signle band)
2.4 3.2 3.2
5 4.2 NA

But as per the datasheet W3006 Pulse antenna it is 2.2dBi for 2.4GHz and 5.2 dBi for 5GHz.

Why this conflict ?

--------------------------------

We are submitting an application for compliance with China SRRC and need to provide this info. I am concerned there will be an issue if these values do not match the module certification.

Any help is appreciated!

Sarah
