rxData_ReceivePacket: null Buffer received

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: WL1271

This message is from the function

static void rxData_ReceivePacket (TI_HANDLE hRxData, void *pBuffer);

in file rx.c.

The wifi is doing busy downloading at the time. Sometimes there are many of these messages.

Could you help me to identify the cause? Is this related to DMA?

Thanks,

Tiegang

  • Hi Tiegang,

    not sure why it happens, it could be due to issue in Hardware, were you get false interrupts, but i dont think it is related to DMA.

  • Hi, Eyal,

    I saw it in the function static void RxQueue_PacketTimeOut (TI_HANDLE hRxQueue, TI_BOOL bTwdInitOccured).

    pTmpPacket = pTidDataBase->aPaketsQueue[pTidDataBase->aWinStartArrayInex].pPacket;

    pTidDataBase->aPaketsQueue[pTidDataBase->aWinStartArrayInex].pPacket = NULL;

    pRxQueue->tPacketTimeout.aPacketsStored--;

    RxQueue_PassPacket (pRxQueue, pTidDataBase->aPaketsQueue[pTidDataBase->aWinStartArrayInex].tStatus, pTidDataBase->aPaketsQueue[pTidDataBase->aWinStartArrayInex].pPacket);

    That pTmpPacket is not used anywhere. There are other places the driver is doing the similar thing. The packet eventually got dropped

    Eventually the function static void rxData_ReceivePacket (TI_HANDLE hRxData, void *pBuffer) displays the message, where the pBuffer is NULL. Seems that this is causing problems but just curious why those packets get dropped?

    I am not sure about the false interrupts though. The hardware is WL1271 and 1270 Murata modules.

    Thanks,

    Tiegang
