LAUNCHCC3220MODASF: Power Management for CC3220MODASF and Integration of Modbus Communication

Part Number: LAUNCHCC3220MODASF
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC3220SF

Hello TI Community,

I have a query regarding the power management of CC3220MODASF. After reviewing the technical guide for CC3220, I found reference to a pre-regulated 1.85V alternating supply for the microcontroller. However, this information is conspicuously absent from the datasheet for CC3220MODASF.

I'm wondering if there's a hardware design guide available specifically for CC3220MODASF that could shed light on this power supply issue. Our current project aims to integrate Modbus communication into CC3220MODASF and transmit sensor data to Azure Cloud. Any guidance on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Best regards

  • Hi,

CC3220MODASF mod have inside QFN chip CC3220SF. QFN chip can be used at wide voltage or preregulated mode. Chip inside module CC3220MODASF is connected according wide voltage  mode. That means CC3220MODASF cannot be used at preregulated mode.
