If you need an output enable, just use any GPIO configured as output. If you're looking for a pin that supports PWM output, look at GPIO 9, 24, or 25.

Yes it doesn't look like it will work with the Launchpad out of the box. You could use jumper wires fix this, but you should also be able to reconfigure the launchpad to make it work. If you take a look at its schematic (at the end of the user guide), you will find resistors R53 and R54 that connect to Pin 39 and 40 of the headers. These will need to be depopulated and instead you will need to place a 0 ohm resistor for R60 and R62. This will then enable the correct GPIO/PWN connections to those header pins and should fix problem.
