CC3220SF: Flags and WriteCounter from sl_FsGetInfo(..)

Hello there!

I see in another old thread, that use of flag SL_FS_CREATE_FAILSAFE during file creation is not reflected in sl_FsGetInfo(..) ouput.
What other flags are not supported? I see Flags = 0 for some of files.

How to interpret flags on right side?

Can you point me to some documentation?

Also: I would like to know how WriteCounter output is working.
Can the value be even 0?
Is the value incremented when the file is open and closed (without adding data to it)?

I did small test and I see that WriteCounter increments with each open for write (including file creation).

So I guess that file that has "Len = 0" and "WriteCounter = 1" was never written with any data (only created).

what flag specifically you are interested with?

I'm not sure this is documented and will require checking in the code.

Hi Kobi,

no specifi flags. But as I wrote, some of my files have this value 0.
And I am trying to understand one bug in our code so knowledge of those flags can potentially help me.

Can you point to the old thread?

Are you referring to flags in sl_FsGetInfo or sl_FsGetFileList?

At least the code of sl_FsGetInfo looks fine and is supposed to return all the parameters (including the failsafe) - maybe there is a bug that i'm missing.

This thread is for CC3200 - this seems to be updated since.

Specifically for checking the "FAILSAFE" you will need to check:

bool IsFailsafe =  ! (flags & SL_FS_INFO_NOT_FAILSAFE) ;

Note that the flag bit indicates "NOT FAILSAFE"
