Does the CC2564C dual mode controller device support the BT 5 specific PHYs (2M, 500K, & 125K)?

Hi Michael,

The CC2564c does not support any new phys only the legacy 1M phy.

So what is bluetooth 5.1 about it?

Hi Michael,

The CC2564C supports all the necessary functionalities to be 5.1 certified however, it does not support the the optional functionalities such as Coded Phys.

If you are looking for a device that can handle Coded Phys I would recommend the CC2340 which does not need a host. However if you are looking for a transceiver device, the new CC3301 would be the best option. Unfortunately, if you are looking for dual mode bluetooth, TI does not have a device that supports Coded Phys and dual mode.
