CC3220SF: Gcc compiler for cc3220sf

Part Number: CC3220SF

Now I'm using SDK version 7.10.0.13 and ccs version 12.5.0.00007 and ticlang compiler version v3.20.LTS (which come with ccs)

And I'm using freertos.

I saw gcc examples also available in sdk.

If I want to use gcc compiler for cc3220sf which compiler should I download?
What is the recommended compiler for cc3220sf from TI?(gcc/Ticlang/any other).
Is there any difference in performance or optimisation between gcc and Ticlang.

1. GNU v9.2.1 (Linaro) is the default. If it is not included you can install from: Help->Install GCC ARM Compiler Tools

2. I would say TIClang but you can use gcc or iar (not supported by CCS) as well.

3. You can find online many comparisons between Clang and GCC. I believe Clang is supposed to be faster with better memory consumption. I'm not familiar with benchmark results by TI.
