CC3220SF: Flash memory 125ºC PN

Part Number: CC3220SF

Hello,

I need to know if there is any avalaible flash memory wich support up to 125ºC. The size could be between 1MB and 4 Mb.

I have bought an SST26VF016BT-80E/SM, but I´m not sure about if it´s possible to use with CC3220SF chip.

Thank you in advance.

  • Hi,

List of tested sFlash with CC3220 you can find at swra515. If you want to use other flash, you should check general requirements at chapter 1.2 of swra515. Minimum recommanded sFlash size for CC3220 is 4MB (32MBit).

Btw ... why you need to use flash with temperature 125°C? CC3220SF have maximum temperature 85°C. I will expect issue with XTAL stability at such high temperature as well.

  • Hi there, Jan

Thaks for responsing. I need 125ºC flash memory because I´ll use it in high temperature conditions. I know that CC3220SF works with a Ta=85ºC as maximum, but the thermal junction of CC3220SF is higher than 85ºC.

Do you know any flash memory that could work at 125ºC?

    Ty in advance.

  • Hi,

I am not ware about compatible SPI flash rated to 125°C. You will need evaluate this by yourself. But I strongly not recommend use CC32200SF at temperature higher than 85°C. You will have many troubles with overheating PA inside CC3220. Please see note (2) at "8.4 Recommended Operating Conditions" at datasheet.
