CC3301: Test mode API and commands

Hi,

We want to be able to test e.g. CW TX on specific frequencies, the use case is to do WiFi regulatory test measurements, antenna tuning etc, by running CLI commands.

But we didn't not find any API about this in wifi driver. Is there any tool or API for wifi manufacture test?

Hello,

What is your current test setup, are you able to reach the CC33xx SWD pins? Do you have a BP-CC3301 and a LP-XDS110ET?

For RF evaluation and testing I would recommend you use RadioTool that can be downloaded from https://www.ti.com/tool/SIMPLELINK-WIFI-TOOLBOX. Once you have installed the SimpleLink Wi-Fi Toolbox there is documentation on how to use CLI at the path User-installation-folder/simplelink_wifi_toolbox_2.1.3/docs/CC33XX-Wifi-toolbox-User-Guide.html .

Note that it may be best to start by using the RadioTool GUI (follow the SimpleLink Wi-Fi Toolbox Startup Guide), and the "CC3301 BoosterPack Hardware User’s Guide" to understand how to setup everything.

I have a BP-CC3301, but no LP-XDS110ET. SIMPLELINK-WIFI-TOOLBOX need work with swd interface, that doesn't seem to be what we want.

I noted there is a directory "calibrator_src" in linux sdk that contains the sourcecode of calibrator, it seems to have the same function as SIMPLELINK-WIFI-TOOLBOX, does it can work with sdio interface? is it possible to port to rtos platform?

Hi, yuan yang, I'd like to ask what MCU you are using? And what is the version of the latest MCU driver SDK package? Can you share it with me?

The mcu I used is oa8100, the sdk I used is cc33xx_thickmac_package_0_4_0_1.exe.

Apologies since you asked for CLI and WiFi regulatory test measurements I referred you to one of our tools that is best for these purposes. For any of our installers there is documentation in the installer. If you are requesting for the documentation in thickmac refer to UserInstallerFolder/cc33xx_thickmac_package_0_4_0_1/docs/html/CC33XX-mcu/api-reference.html in your computer.
