LAUNCHCC3220MODASF: SDK7 and SysBios6

Part Number: LAUNCHCC3220MODASF
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSBIOS

Tool/software:

Hello TI staff in this forum,

as there is a mistake in the release notes for Simple Link SDK 7.x regarding the compiler used, see SDK 7.10 and the CCS Compiler ti-cgt-arm, I would like to ask the following question.

From TI's point of view, are there any reasons against the following combination:
* Simple Link SDK 7.x
* TI Clang V3.2.1 LTS
* SysBios 6.x

Best regards,
Roman

  • Hi,

    As you mentioned, there are 2 main artifact for each release, the compiler and the OS.

    As for the compiler, TI is moving to TI Clang and the other arm cgt is phasing out.

    Same goes for TI RTOS moving from 6.x to 7.x.

    There are no hybrid tests so hard to tell but I do not see a reason it should not work.

    The combination of TI Clang and SysBios 6.x is last introduced as part of SDK 6.x.

    Regards,

    Shlomi
