CC3300: Linux drive or example to setup STA/AP concurrent mode

Part Number: CC3300

Tool/software:

Hi, Expert

Because of reference this link, I think CC33xx should be support WiFi STA/AP "concurrent mode".

https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless-connectivity/wi-fi-group/wifi/f/wi-fi-forum/1235241/cc3301-access-point-and-station-mode-concurrently?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=WiFi%252520concurrent#

Linux host is AM62x, do we have any setting example for STA/AP concurrent mode?

I only see dual STA example in CC3300 Linux user guide.

Many Thanks

Gibbs

  • Hi Gibbs,

Yes, CC33xx does support multirole mode.

There is nothing specific you have to do to enable STA/AP modes simultaneously. Simply run the "sta_start.sh" and then the "ap_start.sh" scripts. Because these scripts specify use of wlan0 (STA) and wlan1 (AP) interfaces, then there is no additional configuration necessary. STA/AP multirole works out of the box.
