CC3235MODASF: Software Configuration for CC3235MODASF

Part Number: CC3235MODASF
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC3235SF, LAUNCHCC3235MOD, CC3235MODSF, LP-CC2651R3SIPA

Tool/software:

Hello.

I evaluat our board implemeted CC3235MODASF by network_terminal of CC3235SF

RSSI of Wi-Fi 5GHz  channel  is low esspecially.

When your evaluation(LAUNCHCC3235MOD CC3235MODSF external Antenna) is -49dBm, our board is -78dBm.

Do I need to change network_terminal any configuration for CC3235MODASF?

  • Hi Hiro,

Can you please elaborate on how is your system is connected?
If you can even send a schematic it will be most helpful for me to provide you with with an elaborated review.

    Best Regards,
    Omri

  • Hi Omri-san,

Thank you very much for your reply.

    For our system,

Host MCU is connected with Wi-Fi module (your device) and BLE module (your device).

The Wi-Fi module interface is UART, SPI, GPIO (include Reset)

The BLE module interface is UART and GPIO (include Reset).

We was refereence your evaluation board schematic (LAUNCHCC3235MOD and LP-CC2651R3SIPA)

    for schematic of our system.

  • Hi Hiro,

I understand, but with your schematic I'll be able to see if there's any component that might affect your measurement.
Just to clarify, you're trying to measure the RF sensitivity of the CC3235MODASF by using the 'network_terminal' command of the CC3235SF?
Also, I didn't understand if you're trying to do so in 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz and in what rate?
Moreover, are you trying to also measure anything regarding the BLE?

    Regards,
    Omri

  • Hello.

    >you're trying to measure the RF sensitivity of the CC3235MODASF by using the 'network_terminal' command of the CC3235SF?

    Yes.
I did measure also the RF sensitivity by using CC32xx Radio Tool. The result was same.

The frequency band are 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz. The rate is mainly 54Mbps(OFDM).

If packet loss is many, I reduce rate.

    For our schematic,

I cannot upload it to your Web forum becaues it is confidential document.

Can I send  our schematic to your secure email address?

    B.R.

    Hiro

  • Great, I've send you in a private message my email address.

    Best Regards,
    Omri
