CC3301: CC1354 and cc3301, how to start

Hi,

I'm trying to understand how to start development with a launchpad cc1354 and booster pack cc3301.

My aim is to have a basic firmware on the cc1354 which connects to the cc3301 using SPI, connects to wifi and to an http server.

Can you explain the tools that I need and the steps I must do?

For now I have the latest CCS theia, the simplelink_cc13xx_cc26xx_sdk_7_41_00_17 and cc33xx_mcu_package_R5. I could not reference the cc33xx mcu package, and am not sure whether I have to merge both sdk manually?

Hi Cédric

As far as I know the CC1354 isnt supported in the current R5 release.

As you can see in this answer - TI States that it will be available in an official release by the end of this this year (in other words should be soon)

I am working on a early BETA release.

The example code and documentation is unfortunately still based on Code Composer Studio and not THEIA.

Where can I be informed when the BETA release is available?

We're getting some mixed signal regarding Theia, with the official line being to use Theia for new development, but this does not seem to be applied internally at TI? Not sure what's best for our new developpement : )

Hi

I am looking forward to full THEIA support and get away from the old Eclipse based CCS.

I would like TI to answer the BETA part, but soon TI will release an official plugin with support for CC13x4.
