CC3220SF: Uniflash is not able to program CC3220SF on ARM-based Mac

Part Number: CC3220SF
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH,

Tool/software:

After migrating to a new M4-based ARM Mac Pro and installing Uniflash 9.0.0 I'm unable to program any CC3220SF chip anymore.

When I'm pressing "Program Image" button - app constantly shows dialog which says that "Apple could not verify Python is free of malware...." for every library of Python.

Even if I confirm that I want to run it via Privacy & Security - dialog appears once again after Uniflash is restarted, which makes app useless.

Also tried to clear extended attributes from uniflash_9.0.0 folder with

xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine ...

but it didn't help

  • hello,

I am looking into this for you.

I know we work with intel based MACs, I will investigate and get back to you.

  • hello,

That error usually means that the binaries were not signed correctly.

Do you know if you installed this UniFlash build using the installer downloaded from ti.com, or was it copied from somewhere else?

Also, which debug probe were you using? The python libraries should only be used with the serial connection.

I just tried using UniFlash 9.0 on an ARM based Mac and did not see this issue.

I have installed Uniflash using installer downloaded from ti.com

I'm using CC3220 LaunchPad with integrated debug probe
