LP-EM-CC35X1: NVS functionality needed

Hi,

I have a  LP-EM-CC35X1 and LP-XDS-110 dev kit. I could build and flash the sample projects. 

I need to use NVS(non volatile storage). I see in the spiffs and fatfs libraries in the SDK and documentation <WiFi_SDK>/docs/simplelink_mcu_sdkUsers_Guide.html but I could not get it worked.
Does CC35XX/SDK actually support it or are there any alternative?
