WL1273 BT radio power control

Dear All,

We are using WL1273 WLAN-BT module in one of our designs and we would like to know the methods to control the BT radio output power. I am using a Linux driver and the default radio power is around 6 to 8 dBm. Due to this we are seeing its harmonics at 4.9GHz.

Mahesh,

The BT output power is set in the BTS file. The modules have been tested and there should not be any issues to pass certification,

We are measuring the emissions (harmonics) of WL1273 module by placing BT into scan mode. Do we need to place BT into test mode /continuous Tx ?

The proper way is to put the devices in test mode. You may refer to the following wikis:

a) Bluetooth FCC Mode

b) Bluetooth RF SIG Mode
