CC3351: Wi-Fi and BT MAC address in OTP

Hello TI,

Just a couple of quick questions.

1. Am I correct that the Wi-Fi and BT MAC addresses can only be written into OTP using the calibrator tool in Linux?

2. Am I correct that the Wi-Fi and BT MAC addresses cannot be written into OTP through the SimpleLink Wi-Fi toolbox?

3. Can the Wi-Fi and/or BT MAC addresses be set during runtime? I read somewhere about a NVS file, but where is this file located?

Yes that is correct. The cc3351 already comes burned in with WiFi and BD addresses, but you may choose to burn your own. This is done using the calibrator tool commands.

This is currently not possible today, but it may be added as a feature in the future.

Yes, you can set the base MAC address during run time. The BT address is then incremented after the MAC is assigned. The NVS file should be created in your target's /lib/firmware/ti-connectivity/cc33xx-nvs.bin.

You can create the NVS file which would store a MAC address. You can find about how to create the NVS file here:
