CC3301MOD: Production date, RTOS integration

Tool/software:

1. Is there a production date for this module? There seems to be no stock on it or any of its relatives.

2. Where can I find the integration libraries for FreeRTOS? Also, what is the binary size for the module?

3. About modular approval, is this still applicable because of customer designed antenna pad, or is there a guide with approved layout and antenna's?

1. It is in production now, expect a restock to happen soon. The device just released recently
2. We offer packages for both linux and RTOS, our example uses freertos, you can find it here: https://www.ti.com/tool/download/CC33XX-RTOS-MCU
as for the size, we recommend a minimum of 1MB of external flash.

Hey Erik,

For 3. you will need to follow the guidance in section 8.2.2 of the datasheet - the RF path is critical to maintain certification performance. The antenna certified with this module at this time is the M830520 - FCC/ISED/CE regions should allow you to leverage other chip antennas as long as the peak gain is equal to or less than.
