Wi-Fi application with MSP430FR5739 and CC3000

Nikit, 

Are you not getting a 'DONE' response on HyperTerminal? And have you used the settings as mentioned for HyperTerminal? 

I have done settings as per mentioned, but i m not getting done response. 

Any possible solution?

On hyper terminal i see 

Example App:driver version 1.7.2.2 

then when I press 01 led 7 starts blinking. but i wont get 'Config done' on hyper terminal.

My steps: 

I build then download program then i start hyper terminal, do settings accordingly mentioned then press reset. Then i get  Example App:driver version 1.7.2.2

after i press 03 or any other number nothing happens. what should i do?

Hi Nikit,

After pressing 01 on the hyper terminal LED 7 suppose to start blinking.

The next step is to send a probe or a beacon with the AP's parameters (SSID, security, key...) .

For example: 'TTT7TP-LINK0' for SSID: TP-LINK and no security.

You can send the probe or beacon via Smartphone or PC.

BTW- pressing 03 is opening a udp socket. Please read thoroughly our wiki page regarding the basic wifi application and practically the part where each command is specified:

Hello,

As soon as i send a probe or beacon through android cell the device stops responding, both led 6 and 7 glows. And hyper terminal is blank. 

TTT7xxxxxxx3xxxxxxxx

My SSID is 0x07 characters and security type is: WPA-2 personal and latter on security key..

why hyper terminal is not responding?

Hi,

If LED7 is glowing it means that the First Time config process has finished.

LED 8 indicates a connection. If it doesn't glow it means one of the parameters wasn't correct.

Can you please confirm that your Hyper Terminal settings as following:

Can you confirm you set the security key in the AP as ascii and not as HEX?

Can you connect with any other device?

All connections are correct. Any other solution where i can blink LED 8

Can you please try the same with configuring the AP to non-secure mode?

Can you also try direct connection?

Type on the hyper terminal: 027TP-LINK0

Where 7 is the ssid length, TP-LINK is the SSID, 0 is for no security.

No response. What should I do after my LED 7 starts blinking. Right now my LED 7 is blinking. 

after that if i type any number its not responding?

As long as LED 7 is blinking it means you are in First Time Config process and no command can be received.

Please reset your board.

Then try to perform direct connection as I explained before.

Does it work?

I tried direct connection using 027xxxxxxx in hyper terminal, its not working.

If direct connection doesn't work you probably apply a wrong command. One of the command parameters might be wrong.

As I can see in the command you copied here I see 7 x but I don't see the security parameter.

If the AP you are using is configured to be non-secure mode, you should add 0 in the end of the command:

027XXXXXXX0

Actually I am using Wi-Fi with WPA-2 Personal, it has security code, hence i tried both on hyper terminal

027xxxxxxx0 and

wit security code 027xxxxxxx3yyyyyyyyyyy

3 indicating WPA-2 Personal and yyyyyyyyyy indicating security code.

No response on hyper terminal.

I am not sure if you went through the release notes, but they indicate some issues with WPA security. Specifically : MCS00086828.

A question to the TI employees, is there any security type which currently works with the existing version(s) of the demo applications without issues? All the present guides consider the examples only in no security/open mode.

There is no known issue with direct connection or first time config. All security types has been tested and working fine.
