Porting the TiWi to the DM3730

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DM3730, OMAP3530, WL1271

All,

Our customer need guidelines and technical docs how to port BT/Wi-Fi driver TI-WL1271-CE6-SRC into the BSP ARM A8 01 02 for DM3730.

They were able to build working version for BSP v6.13 for OMAP3530, but for DM3730 it does not work.

They purchased recently AM/DM37x Evaluation Module with included WL1271 for WLAN & Bluetooth connectivity. All tests we are doing with this kit now.

AM/DM37x EVM with WL1271 requires new BSP - ARM_A8_01_02_00_Source, which integrates support for Cortex-A8 platforms including DM370.

Unfortunately the “WL1271 Build Environment Instruction” document from Adeneo is not intended for new BSP.

Even on supplied SD card with WIN CE drivers for Bluetooth and WiFi are missed.

They tried to integrate WL1271 driver into ARM_A8_01_02_00 BSP and built the OS Image.

After loading the NK.bin into AM/DM37x EVM, they can see the Bluetooth and WiFi Managers on the display of EVM.

But when they run the Bluetooth manager, they get the following message box - "Bluetooth hardware error 10050 (controller not present)"and the WiFi Manager can not find any Wireless Networks.

Thanks,

Rinzai

  • WLAN/BT support for WINCE 6.0 is part of the standard TI Platform offering for any Processor.

Adeneo does have an have a Release package for AM/DM37x that is available under a direct license with associated Software NRE. Please contact Adeneo for details on their WL1271 Platform and support packages.
