DHCP not working with cisco WAG160Nv2

Hi

I am testing a module with the new smart config and iOS app. I have tested with a netgear and a tp-link router and that works perfectly.

But DHCP doesn't work with Cisco WAG160Nv2  when this AP is in default mixed mode only if I change network mode to G-only I can get an IP ?

Why is this? Can i try to do something here?

Kind regards

Thomas

  • Hi Thomas,

Are you able to capture and share wlan sniffer capture for us to analyse?

    Thanks,
    Alon.S

  • Hi Alon

I have tried alot of different stuff (configurations), to figure out what or who causes this error.

I actually think that I have found "who's" to blame for the strange behaviour.

I thought it was my iPad (it might also be this device, not sure), but I actually think that my Apple AirPort Express disturbs the cc3000 module in a way so it crashes

I had my CC3000 board running for an hour and when I turned on my AirPort. The CC3000 "died" minutes after.

If i turn off my Airport express, the CC3000 also connects to my AP in Mixed mode.

    I made/attached a wireshark capture of this.

    8306.Airport_Express_Crash_CC3000.pcapng.txt

I hope this can give You an idea of whats the problem ?

    Kind regards

    Thomas
