cc3000MOD+MSP430fram sensor app problem

Hi,

Terminal assoc command is available only for non-secure AP.

If you wish to connect your CC3000 device to a secured network, you will have to use the Smart Config process.

Basically, what you will need is an iOS or Android device, connected to the same AP you wish the CC3000 will connect to, and use the smart Config App to configure the CC3000 device.

While the iOS\ Androis app is in the configuration process, the CC3000 device needs to be in SmartConfig mode (can be set with S1 switch in the sensor application).

Thanks for the effort, I have tried all these suggestions to the T and even the 3 youtube videos. The unit unfortunateley does not want to connect to a WPA WPA2 key . The Broadcast is essentially TTT7Jupiter2QAZ13WSX or TTT7Jupiter3QAZ13WSX . I understand that delays are possible however being the only user on a router makes me doubt that the delay will be so big that the unit does not see the router, i have tried different routers and different keys but the unit just don't want to attach when the broadcast case is used . I tried this on my android phone , win 7 and win xp  machines with no luck.

any other sugestions? apart from actually coding the SSID, key and encryption.

Question i have is it looks like most of the demo's was done on the LRS and murata chip sets, the CC3000MOD  is the one i am testing this on . Should it function the same?

Conard,

From your answer I understand you are using our old method to configure the CC3000 device.

The old method called First Time Config and actually broadcast the 'TTT..." to the air.

The new and much better (secured, user friendly...) is called Smart Config.

This method is the only one supported. There is no 'TTT...' broadcast to the air in this method. There is no PC support for this method yet. Only iOS and Android applications you need to download from our wiki and install on your device.

Please read carefully the wiki links I have sent you, they have been changed since the previous method you described.

Also, very important to confirm you are using our latest release 1.10.1:

1. Latest patches service pack, can be burn to your module with the patch programmer utility that can be download from here:

Hi Yael,

Thanks i had a feeling it might be my crucks, however the wiki has no app for android . it mentions coming soon but no date , as you know not everyone is IOS capable.
