WiFi CC300/WL127x Current Consumption

Unfortunately, we don't have any detailed documentation about current consumption. Could you please tell the exact scenario you're interested in?

Connection time to open network should be very quick, less than 1 second. Connection to secured networks might take 6,7 seconds.

Hi Tomer,

We will be using the module for point to point communication. Security is not a major issue, some security will do it. Our pay load is less than 3byte. The application is very power limited, so will need to optimize the module protocol. Maximum wait time from scan to connect:  5sec – 10sec.

What would be the typical frame transmission and timing from scan/connect; how long will it take to synchronize between two points; Can the module always scan, thus, using only RX duty cycled current and as soon as the application on the other device activated puts your module in discoverable mode then connects.

Any detail info, app, links will be appreciated

Hi,

I would like to clarify that we don't support WiFi direct in CC3000, but only STA mode. Are you referring to STA (station) connected to an AP communicating with another STA, or direct communication such as WiFi direct?

if your phone works as a AP and the CC3000 in STA mode, it should work.

Apologize for the long delay. Can you please clarify your question? What do you mean wifi protocol used? we are following 802.11 spec (support b/g).
