Changing the channel of a wl1273 operating as an AP

I have an wl1273 running as AP (using hostapd)

I want to change the channel used by the AP

I tried

iw wlan0 set channel 2

but got

command failed: Device or resource busy (-16)

Have people successfully run this command?

Is there another way of doing this ?

Re-starting hostapd with a different config file seem highly inefficient ...

Hello Bernard,

You do appear to have the proper CLI command syntax and by now probably have this operating.

(Perhaps try changing the channel # if not, as a test)

Also, for reference, the TI WIKI pages are quite helpful for providing walkthrough instructions on several of these examples, including an AP Mode reference:

The above is a reference to the WiLink8 family --- next Generation to WL1271 but still relevant in many ways.
