An embedded journey

I've just begun my embedded systems programming journey and am having a lot of fun working it all out.

I expect there will be more software programmer types like me taking on the challenge of learning embedded systems and electronics, as technology is certainly heading that way. And just to be clear, this is not a hobby, I am an entrepreneur with a background in cloud, mobile and data......and earlier in my career I worked in engineering and consulting at Microsoft for 10 years.

I am now developing a consumer product, and the CC3000 is perfect for consumers due to smart config. If I can nail that part, it will open up the technology I am working on to a much wider audience then any of the current solutions.

Anyway, just thought I would say hi, and am hoping that TI has a plan in place on how best to support people like myself who are just starting out....as I expect there will be lots more following behind me. And from what I can tell, there is a cultural shift occurring within the embedded world and it's best to be prepared.

Also wanted to say hi to others who are newly entering the world of embedded and also to all your seasoned veterans out there.

And if anyone has suggestions on how best to continue my embedded journey, please let me know!

Glenn.
