cc3000 wifi chip

Hello,

I am using cc3000. it needs a power supply 250mA. Can I use TPS77333 voltage regulator because It supplies 3.3V output and 250mA. 3.3 voltage has enough to operate cc3000 or 3.6V? Another thing is that I supply a 2.5V to msp430, then VIO_HOST cc3000 also 2.5V, while VBAT cc3000 is 3.3V. That means VIO_HOST = 2.5V and VBAT = 3.3V. Does it work?

Hi Lau

CC3000 needs up to 275 mA for TX. See datasheet: http://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/cc3000

Your other devices will need current as well.

Can I use tps77301DGK texas instrument. it supplies 250mA and 3.6V.

Hi Lau,

I can't make any promises since it does not fall within CC3000 specs. However, If I were you I would find a part that could supply a little more current.

I can take this chip voltage regulator. Here is its datasheet. It supplies 300mA and 3.6V.
