WiFi, Bluetooth coexistence issue with wl1281

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: WL1281

Hi All,

We are using wl1281(jorjin wg7500) with omap4460. We got wifi and bluetooth working fine individually.

but when we try to enable both, bluetooth is not even able to scan and Wifi speed is very very low.(Maximum packets are lost.)

cases:

1. Wifi + Bluetooth configuration in board-file:

> Bluetooth is working , but wifi interface is not created even after loading the modules.

> I tried to disable bluetooth and loading the wifi modules, wlan0 is created and wifi is working fine.

then i tried to enable bluetooth, but bluetooth is not even able to scan and most of the wifi packets are lost.

2. Only Wifi conf. in board file:

> wifi is working fine.

3. only bluetooth conf. in board file:

> bluetooth is working fine.

There is a single combo antenna for wifi and bt in wl1281.

What can be the reason for such behaviour?

Thanks,

Jags VG

  • Hi Jags,

Can you please let me know the below?

    1. WiFi Driver/Firmware version? Please update to the latest (Driver: github.com/TI-OpenLink/wl12xx, Firmware: github.com/TI-OpenLink/ti-utils/hw/firmware

    2. BT Firmware? Please update to the latest from: github.com/TI-ECS/bt-firmware/

    3. Regarding your first issue, WiFi + BT conf in board file, and wlan0 not getting created  - I guess this has to do with the board file changes only. I don't think CoEx has anything to do with this...

    Regards,

    Gigi Joseph.
