CC3000 memory parameters

Hello,

I'm a bit lost with documentation. I'm develloping an access control application with an embedded module, CC3000.

What I'm confused is about the storing of the network parameters. Each time I reset or power up CC3000 module do I need to send to the module the network parameters (SSID string, encryption mode WEP WPA, encription key, etc) or are they stored in CC3000 EEPROM?

This is an important issue as I will need or not need to have an external EEPROM to store these parameters.

I'm finishing hardware design and this is the last issue in my project.

Hi Vitor,

By default, if you use connection policy of fast connect, you should be able to connect to the last connected AP. That is the only information stored. i.e, information of the last AP connected.

But if you want to have specific APs in the list, you can store them as profiles. And use the connection policy of auto connect. This connects you to the APs in the profile list after you power down and power On. You can refer to the below link for profile usage.

OK,

so, this information (last connected AP info) is stored in CC3000 EEPROM, and also the profiles if I create them? If I power down the module I will not loose this info.

Hi Vitor,

The policy settings and the Profiles are stored in the CC3000 NVMEM.
