CC3000 and TM4C123GXL

Hi Yanfei,

Are you using the input interface of Basic Wifi Application that asks you to enter a command? To connect to any AP, you should start the command with "02".

The complete command to connect the CC3000 to an AP using Basic Wifi Application looks like,
02<Hex representation of the AP's SSID><SSID name length>

When I enter the words,the characters shown on the screen is always doubled,Idonot know,By the way,I have installed the software "Smartconfig" in my computer,there is a web shown,SSID have the prefix+the Num+the name of AP+the type of password+the key.What is the difference between the key and the password?

Hi Yanfei,

On the Tera Term, go to Setup -> Terminal... and disable "Local echo" and try it again.

The password is the security password of your AP. And the key refers to the SmartConfig encryption key.

Thank you very much!I have solved the problem.But now I have another serious problem.I cannot get the  communication between the cc3000 and the AP.Ido not know how to get it?And how to get the GUI ? How to get the The CC3000 Hypterterminal

As is shown in the picture,the AP I use is Haptic427,It has the passwords.I want  to connect it to my cc3000.But it is the "Bad command",What should I do?

> 029Haptic427

02 --> WLAN connect command

9 --> Length of SSID

Haptic427 --> SSID

The second picture is the result of I have download the PatchProgrammer of CC3000.And the first one is the result of the basic wifi application of cc3000.And the third is the Smartconfig on my computer.It seems that I cannot build the connection between my computer and the cc3000.And config the cc3000.How can Isolve the problem? What is more is that in the program the SSID have a prefix "TTT".

Hi Yanfei,

When you are using the smartConfig, please connect your configuration device to the AP that you want your cc3000 to connect to.

If you are using your laptop as configuration device, then connect that laptop to the AP first and then open the smartConfig applet. This will automatically populate the SSID name and Gateway IP address. Only enter your AP's password and click on Start.

The java applet may not work on latest updates (http://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless_connectivity/f/851/p/337135/1178056.aspx#1178056).

I have solved the problem.Thank you for your help.But now I have another problem.I have used the command "smartconfig".But it seems I cannot connect the CC3000 to the AP.
