I would like to alter the transmission power of device HTC amaze which utilized the TI chip set. 

Where could I find variable related to transmission power?

    Hello

    I tried somethings out and found in acx.c file.

    In acx.c, the tx power level was set to 20 * 10 as default. However, i changed it to 20*1 to see if anything changes. In conclusion, it did cut down the tx power. (I tested out by compiling the kernel with changed value) But, when I measured it with a power monitor, It showed me that the level of watts (milliwatts to be more specific)  consumed did not make much difference. (660mW, 180mW) Is it suppose to be like this? I mean, 20dBm is suppose to consume about 100mW and 2dBm is suppose to consume about 1.6mW. Could anyone give me an answer?
