cc3000 using raw sockets

Hello:

I really need to use an external TCP/IP Stack with cc3000, and it seems like only way to do that is using raw sockets. However, it somewhere says raw sockets are only supported for transmission...Is that the case? It sounds weird to me but I would like to confirm, before leaving the idea of using cc3000 for this project.

Hi,

CC3000 does support Raw sockets and I think you should be able to do send and receive on it.
Can you please point me to the link which says only transmission is supported on Raw sockets?

How I can do this?

I have a task to receive data at any time in the socket. How to do this? How to interrogate the module for the presence of any data? How to read them? How to decipher the response to the command HCI_CMND_SELECT (0x1008)?
