Uniflash and CC3100 Can't connect Windows 8.1

Has anyone else had com port connection problems with the 0023 version of Uniflash and Windows 8.1? the CC3100 ti drivers come up as USB ports and windows reports them as working fine, but uniflash can't connect. Please see attached screencap for details.

Hi Chris,

Unfortunatelly, Uniflash does not support Windows8. We will look into it.

Please note Linux is going to be supported in the near future to cover more non-windows users.

Hi Chris,

The reason that the Uniflash not working might be related to the FTDI and Windows 8.

Try using the below it should overcome the FTDI issue on Windows 8 (you will need to re install the FTDI USB drivers)

The only thing that need to be done is probably to enable installing unsigned drivers (to disable driver signature verification).

If it helps to know... I did this procedure to allow unsigned drivers. I'm using windows 8.1, cc3200, and uniflash without any problem. So, I don't know about the cc3100 but Uniflash works fine with windows 8.

UniFlash works fine for me as well on WIndows 8.1 64-bit.
