frequency band tends to be disrupted at around 80℃

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC3200

Please see below issue with CC3200.

When it's heated up by Heat gun, frequency band tends to be disrupted at around 80℃.(datasheet temp range : -45~85)

Please let me know why this happens and how to solve it.

Currently SPXO (Clock Crystal Oscillator) is used and I'm wondering if  applying TCXO can solve this problem.

Thank you. Have a nice day!!

  • Hello,

Could you discribe how are you obseving the "frequency band" ? I assume you are observing the TX packets on some kind of equipment. Do you observe only a ppm error (if so how much) or is the complete packet is distorted and the equipment is unable to demodulate it?

You mention you are using a SPXO, is this for the 32Khz or the 40Mhz? It would help if you can share the datasheet of the same.

    Regards,

    Dham
