Data Transfer speed of Wifi Module WL18xx

Hello,

We are working on project, planning to use Sitara Processor AM335X with Wifi WL18XX for wireless data transfer(online video streaming full HD 1080p) from high speed SD Card (Read/write speed up to 90-100 Mbps).

In this case,Wifi module (as mentioned in below link :- data transfer rate up to 100 Mbps) is interfaced on SDIO of AMS335x (up to 48 MHz) & SD Card interfaced on MMC of AMS335x (up to 48 MHz)

Can we practically achieve the speed up to 60-70 Mbps with WL18xx module?

    Hi Ritul,

    As is mentioned in the overview page,
    "up to 100 Mbps throughput with TI’s WiLink 8 MRC and MIMO technology" 

    It is hard to comment the TP in real environment - it depends on the air traffic, the AP, distance, etc.

    The measured UDP Rx/Tx TP using 2.4GHz MIMO technology is ~100Mbps.
