...1.1 Service Pack breaks LPDS on Launchpad Brd

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC3200

I haven't investigated this in great detail.  Just posting as a FYI.  I have returned to using SvcPak 1.0.

According to:

http://processors.wiki.ti.com/images/1/15/CC3200_SDK_Release_Notes_v1.0.0.pdf

SS12.4 -> Pre production silicon doesn't support LPDS! But in typical TI fashion doesn't explain any further what doesn't work.  (my guess = mem retention)

  • Wait... My bad.  I was using the debugger and after exiting LPDS sleep it was going to Flash instead of the RAM that was loaded by the debugger so that's why it broke.  Will try again and report back if still fails.

On another note... If any CCSv6/Eclipse experts out there know how to set a #define for the compile that happens when the Bug(debug) is clicked vs clicking the Hammer(build) that would be very useful for my future self who will run into this problem again.

  • Hi Jason,

On pre-production parts the low power deepsleep mode is not fully qualified. However most of the basic functionality work and you may use the examples provided that use the power management framework to explore this low power mode on pre-production devices as well.

    Best regards,
