CC3200 external memory, can use it as DATA LOGGER with APIs?

Hello,

I'm working with the CC3200 and I need to write data to external flash as a "Data Logger". The space you wish to use and only 8k, a negligible size compared to the size of totat External Memory.
This is possible using API's with the program running?
